Destination-by-destination booking guides: the cheapest months, how far ahead to book flights and hotels, and the weeks when prices spike.

February, March and October are consistently the cheapest months to fly, with hotel rates 30–40% below the July–August peak.

June through August for both flights and hotels, and late April to May if you still want tolerable weather.

November to early March, excluding Christmas and congress weeks. January and February are the outright cheapest.

January and February, then late October and early December.

Late January, February, and June (rainy season) are the cheapest for both flights and rooms.

April and late October, when hotels are open but rates are 40–50% below August.

January, February and November — outside the Christmas period — are the cheapest weeks of the year.

Late April to early June, and October to early December excluding conference weeks.

Late April to early June, and September to mid-November.

January to early March, and again in November.
